John 14:1-3 …’Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I WILL COME AGAIN, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.’
This makes me think of Christmas as a child. Remember when we were children and the excitement of seeing a present with your name of it? Wondering what could it be? We might shake it or squeeze it to try to get a clue to what it might be. Until it was opened we could only guess. This place that Jesus has prepared for us is outside of our reference points. We have never seen anything like it. We can’t even imagine what it may be like. One thing is for sure: Jesus points out that it far outshines anything we would ever go through. Just the thoughts of this place can deflate any trouble we may find our hearts in. So we declare to our hearts, remember “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 1 Cor 2:9
Be of good courage, He shall wipe away all our tears.
