Current Open Volunteer Roles

Position: Cafe Barista / Food Service

Time Commitment: 1-2 hours on Sundays, serving for 1 month at a time.

Description: Arrive around 9:00am to setup our cafe area and prepare food and refreshments.  Team member will be ready and willing to serve as needs arise in the cafe area.  Should be a “people” person as our cafe serves many people each Sunday.  Must work well with other team members.  Following service, will stay until people leave (usually around 1pm).  Will ensure that cafe is cleaned and put back in order.

Requirements: Must be a regular attender of Abundant Life.

Position: Welcome team and Connect Center

Time Commitment: 1-2 hours on Sundays, serving for 1 month at a time.

Description: Arrive at 9:00am and be available to greet our guests and answer any questions.  Team members will be the first impression of Abundant Life and will need to wear name tags and be in prominent locations in the foyer as guests arrive.  Will give tours to new guests and families.  Will direct people to information and/or leaders that may be of further assitance.  Connect center team members will serve immedietly after service to assist guests as well.

Requirements: Must be a member of Abundant Life.

Position: Youth Team Member

Time Commitment: 3-4 hours bi-weekly

Description: Will attend, assist and help plan youth services to minister to students grades 6-12 at our bi-weekly youth ministry gatherings.  This could include food service, running games for the event, welcoming youth at our check-in table, providing security and more. 

Requirements: Must be a regular attender of Abundant Life and be willing to submit to a background check.

Position: Kids Team Member

Time Commitment: 2 hours weekly while on team

Description: Will teach an age-appropriate bible lesson provided by our kids team leadership to a classroom of 10-15 students.  Teachers serve for 1 month at a time and have an assistant with them during this.  Classes take place during the sermon on Sundays.

Requirements: Must be a member of Abundant Life and be willing to submit to a background check.

Position: Clean Team Member

Time Commitment: 3 hours per week for 1 month at a time.

Description: Will clean our facility with other clean team members utilizing a checklist provided.  Will ensure that our facility is ready for events and Sunday services.

Requirements: Must be a regular attender of Abundant Life.

Position: Stream Team Member

Time Commitment: During Sunday Services, 1 month commitment

Description: Will broadcast our Sunday services to our online audience.  Will interact with our online audience in a way that represents Abundant Life well.  Will arrive at 9am and remain until the end of the service.

Requirements: Must be a regular attender of Abundant Life.

Position: SETUP Team Member

Time Commitment: 1 Sunday per month, activities vary.

Description: Will assist in planning and implementing opportunities for Abundant life church attenders to hang together after services.  Often this includes food and fun activities.
