Abundant Life Church Family,

Friends, I am writing to you to inform you that, after consulting with our elder team, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel our IN-PERSON service this week.  We will be having an online only service this coming Sunday (DECEMBER 6).  We had a COVID exposure this week with someone who was contagious.  As a result several people have been quarantined.  The person who tested positive had very limited contact with others and the risk factor is low.  That said, we have not yet been contacted by the Oneida County Health Department because there has been such an increase in cases in our area – they are overwhelmed currently.

This has been a wild season, hasn’t it?  I know it has tested many of us.  Please know that you are loved and you are prayed for often by your church family.  I am thoughtful about what the Apostle Paul says in the book of Romans (a great perspective for this journey): “REJOICE in HOPE, be PATIENT in TRIBULATION, be CONSTANT in PRAYER”.

So today, rejoice.  Rejoice in the hope that is found in the gospel and in the person of Jesus.  Rejoice that we will be together again soon.  Be patient in this tough season.  Be patient with others.  Be patient with yourself.  It is ok.  Finally, be constant in prayer.  Pray always.  Seek the Lord.  He is good and worthy of all of your devotion.

You all are really great.  I say that with the deepest and most sincere sentiments. I am thankful that I get to do life with you.  If you have any needs at all, please do not hesitate to reach out to me or a member of our leadership team.

Blessings, see you all online on Sunday.
