Greetings Church of Boonville,

I am writing in regard to our Sunday In-Person church services.  I have fielded several questions in the past couple of weeks that I thought a simple post would clear up for you.  If it doesn’t, please feel free to reach out to me and I will do my best to answer anything that may arise.  I have listed the common questions I’ve heard below:

  1. Am I required to wear a mask when coming to a worship service?

You are not required to do anything when you come to our church service in this regard.  Because the word of God has asked us to honor our local authorities, the way that we have decided to do that would be to pass along the recommendations that are given by our codes officer and local health department.   We pass that along as a recommendation from the local health officials.  You are free to come without a mask, and you are free to come with a mask.  We simply ask that you be respectful of others as we come together to worship.

2.  Why have you required people to wear masks at the church service?

We had a Sunday where we had 20+ people that had to quarantine and the number of cases of COVID in our community had risen significantly.   This was in early December.   The next Sunday we did ask people to please wear a mask.  This was the only Sunday that we did this.  Every other Sunday, we have passed along this as a recommendation, but not a requirement.  We are advocates for you as a person, taking full responsibility for your health and well-being.

3.  What are church services like now?

We have a full worship service, kids church and message.  We had a couple of weeks in December when we did not have kids church, so we had shorter services to help parents with young children.  Apart from that, we have, for the past 10 months or so, had a full church service on Sundays.

4.  When will we be offering more bible studies and things at the church?

This is a great question!  Currently we have Weds. night offerings in January for women, men, prayer and worship.  Beginning in February, we are planning to have a mid-week life groups at the church as well as Foundations courses on the weekends.

If there is any questions that these still leave for you, please let us me know by sending an email to:

The Lord bless you and keep you,
